The *NEW* Blogger Interface

Ok, so what's the idea of having the Blogger Interface look TOTALLY different when using an older version of IE?
I have to download IE6.1 on my Win98 PC to be able to get a decent looking interface.

Note to Programmers: If you can't make it look the same across all platforms and versions of IE (within reason), don't write it!
